Chris Furlong from BDL, continues to support his local Heywood community when in March he helped organised a fundraising dinner for the Bridge Eagles under 13's football club, where the players themselves severed a delicious three course meal to over 60 parents and friends. Over £150 was raised and matched to support the club.
Chris also helped with his local community centre, Sandon House, with a popular Lancashire night the following month. Over 70 people attended and feasted on Lancashire Hot Pot, Beetroot and red cabbage and finished it off with some trifle. The entertainment on the night was provided by The Lancashire Lads who went through their catalogue of songs about Lancashire. There was also a raffle with the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Through ticket and raffle sales, £200 was raised to be matched for Sandon House.
And last but not least Chris’s support for a local Film Show at St Joseph’s Primary, where the children and parents were entertained by a screening of the new Lego Movie. Doughnut and drinks were sold to be enjoyed with the film. A total of £200 was raised to be matched with the money being used across all school departments.
