Once again this year as part of their BFS India annual founder’s day celebrations on February 6th 2014, the office contributed a sum of Rs. 78000/- (fundraising contributed by the BFS India team) to the charity SOS Children’s Villages of India. This money and match will go to continued the support of the education of five children at SOS Children’s Villages of India, Bawana.
The first SOS Children’s Village was founded by Dr. Hermann Gmeiner in 1949 in Imst, Austria and currently the organization is active in 133 countries and territories.
SOS Children's Villages is an independent, non-governmental, social development organisation in India since 1964 and this year they will complete 50 years of providing family-based care for children. At present there are 33 Children's Villages and 27 SOS Youth Facilities in the country.
