Guests Celebrate & Pledge £50,000!

 On Friday 25th November, employees (nominated by their fellow colleagues) were invited to celebrate their charitable achievements with a lunch in Liverpool’s famous Royal Philharmonic Hall.

Guests enjoyed live entertainment from Jack Higgins (below), finalist of this year's Britain’s Got Talent. (Jack's dance training is being supported by The Princes Trust via a local dance college Studio 76.)

Guests also participated in the programmes New Pledge Incentive for 2017, committing to:

Volunteer over 5,000 hours 
And to engage 200 new employees to Give Something Back across next year

Adele Tipton – Costcutter HQ, York – Over £2,000 to the charity Mind for completing the Cuba Trek and loosing 6 stone in her training, Adele also gained thousands of followers when she blogged about her journey inspiring others struggling with their weight issues or anxiety.

Michaela Wright – Bibby Distribution, Liverpool - After taking part in our first volunteering project in 2010 with the charity Teams4u in Uganda, Michaela hasn’t missed a trip since, volunteering her own time each year to support under privilege communities with builds, education programmes and appeals.

Jane Morley – Bibby Distribution, Liverpool - After Jane’s husband David, lost his 10 year battle against Parkinsons’ and Dementia, at the age of only 50, she decided to run the London Marathon as a way of saying ‘Thank You’ to the hospice who cared for him, donating over £4,000.

Joanne Turner – Bibby Financial Services, Leicester - Jo ‘Braved the Shave’ in her office after being diagnosed with Stage 4b terminal cancer. With an original target of £500, Jo donated over £4,300 to Macmillan.(Colleague and friend Sharon Evans collected Jo's award on her behalf).

Claire Green – Bibby Financial Services, Banbury - Claire has dedicated 5 years breeding puppies for Guild Dogs for the Blind.

Peter ‘Lee’ Harrison – Bibby Distribution, Featherstone - Lee has worked tirelessly for a number of years now for the 44f Squadron City of Bradford Air Training Corp.

Lee Ribchester – GARIC, Bury- Lee has been volunteering as a Scout Leader for over 5 years, mentoring future leaders.

Natalie Henderson – Bibby Offshore, Aberdeen - Natalie dedicates a lot of her spare time to various charities, including CLAN, Project Search and charity committees.

Jason Rodriguez – Bibby Offshore (Subsea), Houston USA - Jason had dedicated himself to raising over $8,000 for research to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.

John Kavanagh – Bibby Distribution, Featherstone - Constantly fundraising in lots of crazy ways, John is also a great ambassador of several local good causes in his community, raising over £4,000 over the years.

Faye Grist – Direct Workforce, Leeds - Every month Faye comes up with a new idea to keep the fundraising alive across the office with over £3,000 donated. 

Elaine Tonge – GARIC, bury - Elaine is at the centre of every fundraising event at Garic and has helped to raise over £3,000.

Bibby Financial Services, Basingstoke - With a ‘One Team’ ethos the office will donate £8,000 to Sebastian’s Action Trust this year.

Bibby Financial Services, Nashville USA - This team has donated over $3,000 and given 303 services hours to good causes.

Bibby Financial Services, Banbury - Over £19,000 was donated to 20 chosen charities by a group of 30 BFS Banbury staff who took part in this year’s Hadrian’s Wall trek in June.

Supply Chain Management - Bibby Offshore, Aberdeen - When a colleague was diagnosed with Huntington's disease last year, the SCM team embarked on a fundraising challenge. The team are set to donate over £5k.

Veteran’s Garage – GARIC, Bury - With the support of a donated welfare unit this charity will create a place where veterans who are facing the grief and anxieties experienced after active duty, can come together and restore classic cars, motorcycles and aircraft.

Shoes 4 Life – Bibby Financial Services Czech Republic - Šárka Zapletalová created organised and actively managed the ‘Shoes 4 Life’ campaign, encouraging staff to donate their shoes to people in some of the poorest countries.

Bikes 4 Solidarity – Bibby Offshore (Sapphire) - 130 broken bikes have been renovated for under privileged children this Christmas, along with plans to take the children and their families out for Christmas dinner thanks to Iain MacKinnon & Dave Metcalf .
