The Giving Something Back programme and all it's events and initiative's are promoted via a number of channels. Each business location has a nominated Community Champion to support the Giving Something Back team, assisting them by encouraging and engaging employees to participate in the programme.

What does the programme offer?
The Giving Something Back programme offers all Bibby Line Group employees support when fundraising and volunteering for:

Employees can receive match funding of up to £6,000 per calendar year where they have taken part in:
The Giving Something Back programme promotes a variety of opportunities to fundraise and volunteer, encouraging employees to share their skills and knowledge with charitable organisations, community groups, schools, churches etc*.

Payroll Giving is another key initiative of the programme and enables employees to donate to any chosen registered cause via their salary, tax efficiently. Bibby Line Group will double match one months donation each year that the employee participates in the scheme.
The Giving Something Back team develops and promotes a yearly programme for employees to become involved in. They manage all centrally organised events and will support and employees in becoming a fundraiser or volunteer.

To ensure that we can track all funds raised by each location, keep things legal, and to qualify for match funding, it is important that funds raised for charity are banked using a set process.
Q. I don’t have a community champion at my site, if I want to fundraise how do I bank my monies?
A. Each site should have it’s own community champion to help to promote the programme and to hold the toolkit with all details of the programme. If you are unsure who your community champion is please contact either your line manager or the Community Team.
Q. I want to raise funds for my favourite charity by carrying out a parachute jump, does this qualify for match funding?
A. Yes, any type of fundraising event can qualify for match funding as long as it is legal and funds raised are for a registered charity or charitable organisation.
