Our new Community Champion Roxy Speed (pictured third from left) at the System Training site in Sheffield jumped into her new role by helping to organise a Dress Down Day at her site. The event raised £46 to be matched by BLG with the money providing a port for a printer to be placed at The Together Women's Project in Sheffield. Roxy delivers Literacy and Numeracy weekly within their centre to offenders and vulnerable women. 'The project currently does not have a printer in the class room, so this will have a huge impact on productivity within the centre and also the learner’s experience.' - says Roxy.
Roxy has also developed a site committee to assist her in further charitable work at their location. Corrine Wills, will produce all the visual displays for events, Eleanor and Emma Sherdian will take up the role of promoters and togther they are generating ideas for a monthly event. - A lot more to come from System Training in Sheffield!
