Vicky Lockie from Costcutter head office in York, helped to assit with her local North Duffild school Summer Fete - Saturday 16th July
After a torrential downpour in the morning, and a juggle of furniture, everyone was accommodated in the school hall and classrooms. A good mix of stalls offered plenty for all. The school children entertained with music, singing and dancing. Many people submitted superb entries in the craft, gardening and baking competitions and prizes were awarded.
Parents provided homemade cakes and buns, second hand books, uniforms and CD's and many donated plants and raffle prizes. Local companies supported the school by offering prizes and over £1,000.00 was raised on the day.
A truly exciting day with a great result!
