Paul Knight (pictured 2nd in from left on the back row) from BDL in Clitheroe recently (06 June) held a quiz night to raise funds for his local junior football team- Clitheroe Wolves Under 9's.
Paul helped to raised £233 and together with the match funding the money will help towards paying for new strips, footballs, nets etc.
Paul is one of the coaches of the team and his son Harry (pictured 3rd in from the right on the back row) also plays for them. They have had a great season winning their league---played 18 games won 15 and drawn 3.
The team trains every Saturday morning and play their matches on a Sunday so it is very time consuming for Paul, however, volunteering this time with his son and the rest of the boys means a great deal.
There is a team of ten running for the North West Air Ambulance in the London Marathon this year. If you have a place and want to join Team Bibby then get in touch.
Fundraising doesn’t just have to be about sponsored events and cake sales! There are many challenge events you can take part in that allow you to complete a personal challenge whilst raising funds for your favourite charity.
