Kilworth Springs was the venue for Bibby Leicester’s 2nd Annual Golf Day. The eyes of the golfing world were on the tiny South Leicestershire village as big names flew in to hone their golf skills prior to April’s Masters.
The setting was beautiful with weather that matched and as the fireworks went off, that started the day’s proceedings!
With some questionable handicaps and some even more questionable golfing attire a good day was had by all.
Thomas ‘ Tiger’ Ludden (BDM based at Leicester) was the biggest culprit at eating up the golf course with holes left in most fairways.
The beat the pro was on a tiny Par 3 with the Pro teeing off a 5 foot high tee (Easy?). 7 people out of 88 golfers managed to beat the pro and the reward was a four ball at one of the country’s most elite golf courses.
As the sun went down ‘Tricky Rob’ Rob Brown dazzled a small crowd of around 50 with a truly magnificent trick shot show that included driving a golf ball of the head of one of Leicester’s biggest introducers.
The presentation rounded off a terrific day with the winning team BSW Contractors coming in with a respectable 140 points.
A terrific amount was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support in excess of £2,000.
A terrific day was had by all with plans afoot for next year’s renewal.
