Chris Furlong (BDL Clitheroe) is at it again, organising a second Valentines Charity night at the Hopwood Unionist Club in Heywood on Friday 17 February.
On the night he held a Valentines Karaoke and Tombola where the club members were asked to donate to sing their favourite love songs, and people were also invited to give donations to place a heart on the club walls with a message for their loved ones.
The night was well attended with well over forty people. Chris also help to sell raffle tickets with prizes being a coffee machine, MP3 player and a camera all donated by the club.
In total we managed to raise £215 to be doubled with a grand total of £430 which is being donated to Springhill Hospice in Rochdale.
There is a team of ten running for the North West Air Ambulance in the London Marathon this year. If you have a place and want to join Team Bibby then get in touch.
Fundraising doesn’t just have to be about sponsored events and cake sales! There are many challenge events you can take part in that allow you to complete a personal challenge whilst raising funds for your favourite charity.
