Description
Mick Smith, a Bibby Distribution employee who had worked for the business for over 10 years, sadly passed away after a long fight with illness. His Fellow friends and colleagues at the BDL Elland site, where Mike worked, decided that they would complete a cake and sandwich sale. The fundraising event raised £88 to be matched, which will be donated to Macmillan’s Cancer support in Mick’s memory.
“Mick was a great person to work with and was always helpful and courteous with anyone who was fortunate enough to work with him. During his time here he worked as both lorry driver and yard shunter. He will be sadly missed by all at the Elland depot and will never be forgotten.” – Chris Furlong.
