Description
The annual Rye Nook Carp Syndicate Charity events raised a record amount of money thanks to the support of its anglers and generous sponsors many of whom are local businesses.
Funds raised were further boosted by one angler, who was being supported by colleagues at Bibby Factors in Hastings. Mick Whittington from the BFS office ran the 5 mile run and won his sections prize for heaviest weight of fish caught.
Without local businesses generosity and the hard work of the handful that organise it all they would have not have raised £4,600 which will go to St. Michaels Hospice, Demelza House and Hastings Mencap. A sporting accomplishment which Hastings, Bexhill and Rye can be proud of.
