Community Awards

Page Image One of the main objectives of our Community Programme is to offer employees the chance to 'Give Something Back' to their communities. This can be done by fundraising & volunteering for their chosen charities with the support of the business.

To recognise and reward those in the business for their achievements we will be holding a community awards lunch on Friday 3rd December in Liverpool. This is a thank you to those involved in the programme and for the work they do in their community.

There will be four categories to nominate your colleagues for. There will be a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place award for each category, which are:

  • Top Community Champion – does the community programme get promoted effectively by your champion? Do they support and encourage you to take part in the events? If you feel your community champion goes the extra mile then nominate them for an award.

  • Top Fundraiser – we are looking for employees that support their chosen charities by endlessly fundraising to support their cause. Running sweeps, raffles, quiz nights etc and always with the enthusiasm and drive to raise as much money as possible. Who is always tapping you for cash to make a difference in their communities?

  • Top Volunteer - we want to know about the people in the business that gives up their spare time to support local clubs, community centres and charities, scout, brownie and football clubs. The dog walkers, beach cleaners, school helpers, charity administrators & school treasurers. There are so many people that do many different activities and all because they want to. These people are our volunteers and should be recognised for what they give back to their communities, for nothing in return.

  • Most Innovative Event – this category is always so difficult to judge. Who does the events that make you gasp, laugh or cringe? Dressing up, dressing down, three legged races, shaving heads & waxing legs? Nominate your colleague for their stupidity or their inventiveness. We want to know who has carried out an innovative event and reward them for their efforts.

You can nominate your colleagues for more than one award and even nominate yourself if you'd like!

There will also be awards for top fundraising location, international fundraising location and an overall achievement award.

Winners will be chosen from the nominations received. We will be sending a nomination forms via e-mail and attached to your payslip in September so you have plenty of time to nominate. Please feel free to nominate today, the Community Team want to hear from you about those people that deserve an award.
